Sea freight means the shipment of goods by ship.
The goods are stored in containers and transported from port to port by ship. Larger goods such as machines are carried out as project transports.
Sea freight is cheaper than air freight, but the transit time is longer. Prices depend on volume, weight and current market rates.
From consumer goods to heavy machinery — almost all types of goods are transported by sea freight.
The packaging must protect the goods from moisture and damage. Wood packaging must be treated in accordance with ISPM15.
Full Container Load — A container is fully loaded for a customer.
Less Container Load — The goods share the container with other shipments, similar to general cargo transport by truck.
