Emons expands its product portfolio
The need to deliver bulky and cumbersome goods on land that is sometimes difficult to access has increased during the pandemic with the increase in B2C shipments. Emons has added a technical solution to this challenge to its portfolio.
With special vehicles, Emons delivers shipments even when access is restricted and unloading equipment is missing on site. The new service is interesting for demanding deliveries
• on construction sites
• beyond the curb on plots of land, in driveways, carports, etc.
• in case of access restrictions for trucks
• in dead ends without turning points
• of large, long and bulky goods
• of shipments that cannot be unloaded with a lift
The trucks have a lifting capacity of 2,500 kg. With all-wheel drive, 4-way function and switchable differential lock, they are suitable for off-road use. Adjustable forks ensure optimal handling of long goods. The range of the 6 km/h truck-mounted forklift is 100 m. The forklift requires a width of at least 3 m and a height of 2.80 m for manoeuvring.
The vehicles with this special equipment are strategically distributed at six locations (Cologne, Bayreuth, Villingen-Schwenningen, Saterland, Magdeburg and Chemnitz) in Germany. They deliver to customers within a larger area. In addition to general cargo, the range also includes part and full LTL/FTL loads.
