A freight forwarding company organizes the transport of goods by truck, train, ship or plane. This involves bundling small shipments on the main route from the shipping depot to the receiving depot and transporting them in larger units such as complete trucks or containers. Pickup and delivery at local areas are carried out by smaller public transport trucks. In addition to transportation solutions, freight forwarders often offer logistical services such as warehousing, order picking and value-added services.
A freight forwarding company is needed if goods are to be transported professionally and efficiently. Freight forwarders take over the entire transport chain (lead, main flow and post-shipment) and offer additional services such as notification of deliveries, on-time delivery and special transport solutions (e.g. transportation with a lift).
For commercial customers:
- Commissioning via web-based recording tool or via EDI interfaces. For private customers:
- Shipping orders can be easily ordered online via partners such as Cargo International or SimpleLogistics. Users calculate transport costs, book shipping and receive packaging tips and pick-up information.
- Germany: 1-2 days (standard delivery time).
- Europe: 1—7 days, depending on the destination (e.g. 2 days to northern Italy, 7 days to Sicily).
- International: Transit time varies depending on the mode of transport (air freight, sea freight, rail freight).
B2C shipments often require an appointment with the recipient, which can extend the delivery time.
The shipping costs depend on:
- weight and dimensions of the goods.
- Transport distance.
- Required additional services (e.g. express, lift).

With the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) You can track the estimated time of arrival of your shipment The time window is calculated dynamically based on traffic, truck location and route planning.
ETA is a digital and transparent real-time communication tool that allows us to show you the expected 2-hour time frame for your shipment.
The influencing factors such as the live location of the truck, traffic, etc. are dynamically updated and the time of arrival is continuously adjusted*. If the ETA time falls out of the original time frame, we will inform you by e-mail.
In our Tracking & Tracing tool, you can track the ETA time frame at any time.
