Delivery to the curb means that the goods are delivered by our driver to the nearest point in front of the delivery location that can be reached by truck — usually to the side of the road or curb.
There is no further transport into the building or onto the property.

You can arrange a telephone delivery appointment directly with the delivering Emons depot. Please have your shipment number or reference number ready. An alternative option is to contact our central customer service. Although they cannot arrange the delivery date with you directly, they will forward your desired date directly internally and give you confirmation as soon as it has been saved.

A change of address is generally possible — provided that the shipment is not yet in the final delivery process. Please contact our customer service as early as possible with your shipment number. In the best case, you have already submitted your request to change your address with your sender. He must release it to us. Only then can we make the final change of address.

Important notes:

  • Changes may result in delivery delays or additional costs.
  • If there are changes of address outside the original delivery area, we will check the feasibility on a case-by-case basis.

In most cases, we provide a full-day delivery window between 08:00 and 16:00. We normally deliver shipments from Monday to Friday. Saturday delivery is only available in rare cases. Please feel free to ask your delivery depot directly.

The reason: At the time of planning, it is not yet possible to predict exactly when our driver will drive to the respective stop — especially on tours with multiple unloading points, unpredictable traffic volumes or variable unloading times.

Good to know:

On the day of delivery, you will receive a more accurate 2-hour time window — either by email or via our shipment tracking & tracing.

As a rule, it is necessary for an authorized recipient to be on site to receive the goods, sign the delivery receipt and directly document any transport damage.

Important notes:

  • The customer himself does not necessarily have to be present — neighbors, family members or other persons commissioned by you can also accept.
  • If no one is available upon delivery, another delivery attempt may be necessary, which may involve additional costs and delays.

Please therefore ensure that someone is on site within the specified time frame on the delivery day — or let us know in good time if you have any special delivery requests.

Delivery is usually carried out by a 7.5 to 12-ton truck. Our vehicles are designed for delivery to residential and commercial areas, but require sufficient space to turn around and safely unload. #

Please note:

  • Access to the delivery address should be freely accessible to larger trucks.
  • Please report narrow roads, dead ends or entry restrictions (e.g. height or weight restrictions) in advance so that we can plan delivery accordingly.

If you are uncertain about the availability of your location, we will be happy to help you — our central customer service will be happy to advise you.

Our delivery agents deliver the goods as part of the selected shipping method. If delivered to the curb, the handover takes place exclusively at the nearest public location — it is not intended to be carried into the house or apartment.

No, as a freight forwarder, we are not obliged to take back transport packaging or shipping materials upon delivery. Our task consists purely of carrying out transport — i.e. handing over the goods to the specified address, but not to dispose of or take back packaging materials.
