New dangerous goods regulations 2023

From 01.01.2023, new dangerous goods regulations will apply to modes of transport

• Road (ADR 2023)
• Rail (RID 2023)
• Inland vessel (ADN 2023)
• Aviation (IATA 64th edition)

in force.

The IMDG code for maritime transport (41-22) may be applied from 01.01.2023, but only comes into force from 01.01.2024.

There is a 6-month transition period for road, rail and inland waterway modes of transport. Until 30.06.2023, the previously valid regulations (ADR 2021/RID 2021/ADN 2021) can continue to be applied.

Emons Spedition GmbH will switch to the new law in mid-June 2023. Until then, the law that has been in force since 01.01.2021 will continue to apply.
