Emons has been ranked #1 in the latest list of the 50 best freight forwarding and logistics companies in the German SME sector. We are particularly proud of this recognition, which reinforces our commitment to consistently pursuing our current path.
The ranking was published by the business magazine Markt und Mittelstand and is based on the DDW index from Die Deutsche Wirtschaft. A total of 39 criteria are included in the assessment, including company size, innovative strength, market position, and future viability.
Internationalization as part of the Emons corporate strategy
A key component of our corporate strategy is the continuous internationalization of Emons. In recent years, we have further expanded our presence in regions including the Iberian Peninsula, Liechtenstein, and Vietnam. At the same time, we are strengthening our existing network where necessary through strategic partnerships and investments – most recently with Wolf Spedition.
An external comparison of the top companies reveals an interesting aspect: Emons is not the largest company among the top three in terms of either the number of employees or logistics space. Differences, however, are evident in our international freight forwarding network and our own transport capacities.

Our strength lies in our broad service portfolio, ranging from road and rail cargo to logistics and air & sea freight. This allows us to meet a wide variety of customer requirements and develop individual, one-stop solutions.
At the same time, we are investing in the digitalization of our services. Digital booking options, transparent information, and connected services are designed to make logistics even simpler and more efficient for our customers in the future.
Ranking #1 among the Top 50 freight forwarding and logistics companies is not only a special honor for us, but above all a motivation to continue on this path: expanding our international network, driving digitalization forward, and developing new solutions for our customers' needs.
