Emons Kenzingen gains new logistics customer
Outsourcing logistics from Aliseo to Emons in Kenzingen
The Black Forest design company Aliseo GmbH outsources its logistics from its current own logistics center in Gengenbach to the transport and logistics company Emons. In future, the goods will be stored at the Emons site in Kenzingen and distributed directly from there. Kenzingen is not only a logistics location, but also a freight forwarding facility with a transshipment warehouse. This eliminates the need for transport between warehouse and distribution warehouse. With shorter transport routes, CO2-Reduces emissions. Emons put the modern plant in Kenzingen into operation in March 2021. The energy is generated in-house in the sunny region using photovoltaics and heat pumps.
In this project, Emons can contribute its expertise in sustainable logistics and look into a future of partnership together with Aliseo. “We are pleased that we were able to win Aliseo GmbH, which has a very good reputation on the market, as a strategic logistics customer for our logistics center in Kenzingen,” emphasizes Timor Spörl, managing director of Emons Logistik GmbH.
Aliseo wants to continue to grow in the coming years. The larger capacity required for this will not be available at the current logistics location in Gengenbach in the long term. “We are very pleased to have now found a solution together with Emons that will enable us to set the course for this growth,” says Jan Hellfritz, managing partner of Aliseo GmbH, explaining the background of the outsourcing.
Outsourcing is part of Aliseo's strategic reorganization. Production is to be brought back to Europe in the medium term to secure the supply chain. Aliseo also wants to be able to meet individual customer requirements in the hospitality and hotel industry even better. “This will be easier to achieve in Europe than is currently possible thanks to our production in Asia,” says Hellfritz.
About Emons: Since 1928, the medium-sized and group-independent family business has stood for quality, trust and responsibility. With 3,420 employees at 100 locations in 16 countries, Emons offers transport (road, rail, air, sea), customs and logistics.
